Through my heart you flow...

Celebrating the 20th Anniversary

The St. Lawrence Plan is celebrating its 20th anniversary. Under its theme, Through my heart you flow starting today, June 3, 2008, those who love this great river are invited to join in on the festivities organized by ZIP (areas of prime concern) Committees along the St. Lawrence River. These activities will enable shorelines communities to reconnect with the river, rediscover and appreciate the exceptional living environment that it is.

In addition to the activities organized by ZIP committees, during the last week of October 2008, in cooperation with the Musée de la civilisation du Québec, government partners will be holding a week focused on science, The Secrets of the St. Lawrence, during which the latest knowledge available regarding the state of the St. Lawrence will be made public. During that same week, a series of “public” events will also be offered to residents of all ages to help them discover and appreciate all aspects of the St. Lawrence.

To close the celebrations of the 20th anniversary of the St. Lawrence Plan, a forum on community involvement, organized in cooperation with Stratégies Saint-Laurent, will be held in Trois-Rivières in early December.
