During a St. Lawrence Plan Management Committee meeting in October 2006, members of the Youth Committee on Water and the St. Lawrence presented their Youth Statement on Water and the St. Lawrence River. This youth committee was elected during the First Youth Summit on Water and the St. Lawrence, held at Environment Canada’s Biosphère in March of 2006.

Warmly greeted by the management committee, the youth members, aged between 13 and 17, gave an impressive performance! Their commitment to the cause was particularly noted. The reading of the statement was followed by a very meaningful and rewarding Q&A period.

Bravo to the Youth Committee on Water and the St. Lawrence on a job well done!
